RMWEA History

RMWEA was founded in 1936 as the Rocky Mountain Sewage Works Association, and since that time has provided its members with the most current information on water quality issues, technology, regulatory changes, and the latest research developments.

RMWEA 2025 Photos of Water Reclamation Facilities

RMWEA Historian: José Velazquez & Jeff Berlin

Photos for RMWEA 2025 are needed!

It’s time to think about photographs for the 2025 RMWEA calendar. Submit your color or B&W photos (preferably less than < 5 MB) highlighting wastewater treatment, water reclamation,  biosolids management, and conveyance facilities in the three-state region. Photos of innovative treatment, pumping, and collection systems are encouraged.

Submission:

  • Deadline: September 30th, 2024
  • Submit to José Velazquez at Jose@Malovela.com or Jose.Velazquez@AE2S.com
  • Photos will be selected in early November
  • Email submittals should include 2025 RMWEA Photos in the title line

Photo Requirements:

  • Photos must carry a .jpg or .tiff file extension and be at least 300 dpi (dots per inch)
  • File size cannot exceed 8 MB

RMWEA reserves the right to make the final photo selection and to publish the photos in the 2025 or 2026 calendar or on the RMWEA website. A panel of RMWEA members will judge the photos, and the top-ranked pictures will be included in the 2025 Calendar.

Call for Improvements:

We have published the hard-copy calendar for over 10 years and so this year, we are looking for fresh ideas. For example, we may create a photo page on the website instead of the paper calendar. Please give us your ideas along with your photographs.

Calendar Sponsorships:

Sponsorships are also available! More information on that to follow.

If you would like to submit and sponsor, please contact Jose Velazquez via email at Jose@Malovela.com or Jose.Velazquez@AE2S.com. If you have questions, call 303-358-4841
