“Strikes and Spares” is on tap again this year for a great “whallopalooza” event in Denver. Scheduled for 7:00 P.M., May 16, 2008, Strikes and Spares will be held at the Holiday Bowl, 10350 West Colfax, Lakewood, CO. Form your teams now (4 to a team please) and let the games begin! You don’t have to be a world-class bowler to play – you don’t even have to knock down pins to win great prizes. Band together with your co-workers or mix it up. Join the bowling party that is loaded with fun, and accommodates bowlers of all ages and talents. We encourage costumes, but they are not required. Special “Prize Categories” just for costumes!! The event’s profits go to generate money to bring our RMWEA science fair winners (one from each state) to Phoenix to compete at the national level. That’s right –your bowling dollars will provide three talented students from New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming with transportation to the National Stockholm Junior Water Prize competition – an experience of a lifetime.The cost is just $140 per team, or $40 per bowler. Don’t be afraid if you don’t have a team; we’ll work you right into the action. Kibitzers (spectators) will pay a low, low fee of just $20 to be able to go lane side and heckle all their friends. We are also looking for lane sponsors – one sponsorship puts your name on a lane for the low, low price of $75. Food comes with the entry fee. Sorry, no haute cuisine – we are talking yummy bowling food like sloppy joes and chicken fingers, pizza and beef taquitos . . . you get the picture. The sudsy amber liquid’s on you. And there’ll be door prizes, too. |
