21st Annual Water and
Wastewater Conference
LEADVILLE,

A full curriculum for the Water and Wastewater Plant Operators as well as Distribution System Operators is being offered at this year’s conference. This conference has been designed to upgrade operational skills, obtain the required Training Units for certification renewal or obtain additional education and seek help in studying for certification exams.
The Water course is limited to the first 45 participants. Math classes will be divided into Basic and Advanced. The Distribution class will be limited to the first 35 participants and will be geared towards those seeking Distribution System Certifications
The PWO Committee of the RMWEA will offer three tracts for the Wastewater Operator, Advanced (A/B certifications), Intermediate (C/D certifications) and Continuing Education; this tract is geared for those seeking TU’s for WW certification renewals. It will include useful topics such as membranes, biosolids, effluent reuse and equipment maintenance. This will allow participants options for tailoring their own training experience. All Wastewater tracts will be limited to 35 participants. The Continuing Education topics are available as single day courses too.
Registration for each 5 day course is $335.
Registration for each single day Continuing Education course is $80 per day and includes lunch.
The Colorado Mountain College offers dormitory style housing and meals served cafeteria style. Rates are bas follows:
5 day rate for room and board will be $425 per person, double occupancy. This will provide lodging from Sunday night through Thursday night, it also includes meals from Monday breakfast through Friday lunch.
5 day double occupancy room only is $225
5 days single occupancy room and board is $525 and is limited to a first come first served basis. This will provide lodging from Sunday night through Thursday night, it also includes meals from Monday breakfast through Friday lunch.

For those taking a certification exam on Saturday don't forget to add Friday to your stay
Friday night double occupancy room only is $60
Friday night single occupancy room only is $75
Check-in for dorm rooms are handled by the college and starts Sunday after 4:30 pm. For those not wishing to stay on campus a listing of lodging establishments in the Leadville area is provided with contact information in this invitation. Please make your own off campus reservations.
Cafeteria meal tickets are available for those staying off campus for $200 for the week. Individual meals can be purchased from the cafeteria (cash only).
Individuals wishing to stay on campus Friday night for the Certification Exams on Saturday need to include this in your registration on the next page.
REGISTRATION FOR THE CONFERENCE WILL BE LIMITED, so please send your application in early!

Limited evening activities have been planned to allow time to study or enjoy Leadville and the surrounding area. All attendees are encouraged to Check-In for the conference at the residence hall early Sunday afternoon for our “Meet & Greet” session, which will include cold-cut sandwiches, tater’ chips, cookies, soda pop, etc., this is an opportunity to get acquainted with your fellow operators and conference coordinators. These beverages and snacks will be provided from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, no dinner will be served at the cafeteria Sunday. On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be “After Session Math Help Nights”. Thursday night has been set aside for the traditional “Toilet Bowl Competition” (Water and Wastewater trivia). Four person teams consisting of 2 Water and 2 Wastewater people will vie for the coveted, savagely contested, priceless and precious individual trophies for First and Second Place (Bragging rights included).
CERTIFICATION EXAMS FOR WATER, WASTEWATER, SMALL SYSTEMS, C & D LEVELS, and COLLECTIONS & DISTRIBUTION OPERATORS will be offered on Friday afternoon August 8, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
CERTIFICATION EXAMS FOR ALL LEVELS will be offered on Saturday August 9 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Be sure to make lodging arrangements for Friday night if you are taking an exam Saturday, the college will have rooms available, but no meals will be served after Friday lunch.
