Past Awards Presented by the RMWEA


COLLECTION SYSTEM AWARD

This award is given to recognize an outstanding individual who by his/her efforts has demonstrated an aggressive and efficient operation and maintenance program for a collection system. Awards may be made to selected nominees in each of the states of Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado.

PLANT OPERATION MERIT AWARD

This award is given to recognize an outstanding individual who by his/her efforts has demonstrated an excellence in plant performance and effluent quality. Awards may be made to selected nominees in each of the states of Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado.

PLANT MAINTENANCE MERIT AWARD

This award is given to recognize an outstanding individual who by his/her efforts has demonstrated an excellence in plant maintenance programs. Criteria for this award will include: development and implementation of effective preventive and/or corrective maintenance programs; significant reductions in equipment downtime, or significant improvements in process reliability which result from maintenance program improvements; development of effective maintenance records or management information systems; and significant improvements in maintenance personnel skills as a result of effective training programs. Awards may be made to selected nominees in each of the states of Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado.

ANALYTICAL MERIT AWARD

This award is given to recognize an outstanding individual who by his/her efforts has demonstrated an excellence in wastewater analytical activities. Criteria for this award will include: development of an effective sampling program; development of an effective laboratory analytical program; solving plant operational or performance problems by developing and implementing a process sampling and testing program; and outstanding supervision of analytical activities. Awards may be made to selected nominees in each of the states of Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado.

PLANT PERFORMANCE AWARD

This award will be presented to the wastewater treatment plant to recognize outstanding efforts in plant operations, maintenance, or public relations, which occurred because of the concerted efforts of all personnel associated with plant management and operations. One award may be made annually to a selected plant for the RMWEA three-state area.

INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT AWARD

This award is given to recognize an outstanding individual who by his/her efforts has implemented an effective and efficient industrial pretreatment program. Awards may be made to selected nominees in each of the states of Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado.

INDUSTRIAL WASTE TREATMENT MERIT AWARD

This award is given to recognize an outstanding individual who by his/her efforts has demonstrated an excellence in industrial waste treatment activities. Awards may be made to selected nominees in each of the states of Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado.

BIOSOLIDS MANAGEMENT MERIT AWARD

This award will be presented to the wastewater treatment plant to recognize outstanding efforts in biosolids management practices. Criteria for this award may include: proper biosolids treatment operations; development of a sound biosolids disposal program; development of an effective biosolids disposal monitoring program; research and development of alternative treatment or disposal options; public relations; and outstanding supervision of biosolids management practices. Awards may be made to selected nominees in each of the states of Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado.
