2007 RMSAWWA/RMWEA Conference
 
CALL FOR PAPERS!!

 
The 2007 RMSAWWA/RMWEA annual conference will be held in Keystone, Colorado at the beautiful and spacious Keystone Resort and Conference Center.  Starting this year, a new format for submitting abstracts for technical papers will be followed. 
 
New Format for Submitting Abstracts - All authors are asked to submit a mini-abstract of 150 words or less that will be published in the conference proceedings if the paper is selected.  For more information and to submit abstracts on-line, visit RMWEA website Abstracts are due by March 16, 2007!

The WEF Residuals and Biosolids Committee, in collaboration with the RMWEA, AWWA and RMSAWWA, is sponsoring a Residuals and Biosolids Management Conference focused on Innovation and Sustainability. The conference will be held in the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO. Registration and additional conference information can be found at the WEF website: www.wef.org.
RMWEA Professional Wastewater Operators Committee is looking for potential speakers for an upcoming seminar April 11th, 2007 in Pueblo. Looking for 45-60 minutes presentation related to wastewater industry. If you are interested please send e-mail to Edyta Stec-Uddin or Greg Farmer.

USEPA Clean Water Act Recognition Awards - The USEPA Clean Water Act Recognition Awards (O&M) encourages public support for effective operations and maintenance activities at wastewater treatment facilities. Recognition is made for outstanding innovation of processes and practices at wastewater treatment facilities. It also recognizes communities that continue to meet water quality permit requirements. "The best candidates are those that have shown substantial improvements in effluent quality and overall operation and maintenance, that have built a strong foundation for long term, sustained permit compliance and have overcome obstacles in reaching compliance goals." The five-day basic AWWA Water Utility Management Institute will be presented in Salt Lake City, Utah from Feb. 26-March 2, 2007.  All sessions will be held at the Comfort Suites Hotel (near the airport).
