MISCELLANEOUS
Open house for The Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority to celebrate their office renovation project. Please stop by on Friday, December 7, 2007, from noon until 2:30 p.m. for a light lunch and a tour of the remodeled space. The Authority is still located at 1580 Logan Street, Suite 620, Denver, Colorado.  See website.
 
AWWA Water Utility Management Institutes - Three institutes are scheduled for Spring 2008.  The five-day Basic Institute will be held March 10 - 14, and a second Basic Institute May 12 - 16. An Advanced Institute is scheduled March 31 - April 4.  All institutes will be held at the Comfort Suites Hotel (near the airport) in Salt Lake City, Utah.  To obtain more information on registration, contact Chuck Christensen at (801) 333-3779 or chuchkets@msn.com.
 
Congratulations to David Congdon, a Thorton, CO Water Operator who recently won Second Place in AWWA's Opflow Gimmicks & Gadgets competition. Congdon recieved the award for his Trailer-Mounted Hydrant Diffuser.  See website!!
